Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced a new rack and blade ProLiant servers.
Announced on Tuesday, the servers are designed to produce more performance and combine hardware and software capabilities to improve reliability.
This new converged infrastructure strategy will allow the customers to make monetary savings in operational costs to activities that boost the business innovation.
Dave Donatelli, executive vice president and general manager Enterprise Servers Storage and Networking HP stated: “Today and throughout the year, HP is bolstering its Converged Infrastructure strategy with groundbreaking enterprise solutions across every area of the data center, resulting in greater levels of simplification, performance and savings for our clients.”
He added: "You can go from 217 individual components down to two with the brand new BladeSystem we're announcing."
HP has been striving to compete in the enterprise market, currently dominated by Cisco, with the launch of many new enterprise products, the most recent being ePrint wireless printing solutions.
