HP To Use Emulex Tech In Blade Servers

Hewlett-Packard HP has announced that it will be using Emulex's OneConnect Universal Converged Network Adapter (UCNA) technology in its new HP ProLiant G7 server blades.

The company reported that the converged infrastructure technology will be implemented in its ProLiant G7 server blades, the HP NC551i Dual Port FlexFabric 10Gb Adapter and the HP NC551i Dual Port FlexFabric 10Gb Adapter.

HP's newly launched ProLiant G7 line of blade servers is a part of the company's industry-leading portfolio of blade servers.

Steve Daheb, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of business development, Emulex, said (opens in new tab): “Emulex's new OneConnect UCNA technology represents a new generation of server I/O technology that promises to reduce networking complexity and costs for IT organizations.”
