HP and enterprise communication software vendor Avaya have partnered to offer advanced, cost-effective enterprise unified communication (UC) solutions to clients.
The companies have announced a three-year partnership under which Avaya's unified communications and contact centre product technology will be incorporated with HP's unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) services.
The resulting communication solution will be marketed and sold by HP.
The UC solutions being jointly offered by the companies would allow clients to integrate new business communication solutions with their existing networks and systems.
Gary M Budzinski, the senior vice president of HP's technology services division, said: "Organisations face constant change and the decisions they make must be flexible enough to meet future needs, such as unification of real-time communication with Web 2.0 and social media applications."
"With HP and Avaya, clients can increase the agility of their existing communication architectures and realise the aspiration of unified communications for multivendor interoperability and ultimately save organisational costs," Budzinski said.
