T-Mobile Slashing HTC Desire Price To Counter iPhone 4?

The arrival of the Apple iPhone 4 appears to have encouraged T-Mobile to slash prices of HTC Desire contract to the bone in an attempt to increase its userbase ahead of its impending merger with Orange.

We've scoured a number of online mobile phone retailers and found out that Beepy has two of the best HTC Desire offers on the market, great if you're looking for a top-notch smartphone without breaking the bank.

First (opens in new tab) on the list is a £20 per month contract which offers 100 minutes, 100 texts and 3GB internet as it is the case for all Android phones sold on a web'n'walk package.

While you still have to pay £35.99 for the phone, it means that that the total cost of ownership over the 18-months duration is a mere £395.99 to which you may want to add £85 for a 32GB microSD card.

A similar offer from Vodafone (opens in new tab), albeit with 1GB Wi-Fi and 150 extra text (but less minutes and data allowance) will cost you £909 for the iPhone 4 32GB.

Next up is the a cracking deal (opens in new tab) with 600 minutes, 500 texts and 3GB internet, all for £550 all inclusive after a 50 upfront cashback (that's £25 per month for two years). Again, you will want to top up the internal memory to 32GB. Vodafone's equivalent deal will cost £1019.
