Virgin is set to release an 'iPad-only' magazine, according to The Guardian.
Maverick, which is headed by Richard Branson's daughter Holly Branson, will be initially available for the iPad in October, but versions for the iPhone and Android-based devices are set to follow.
Former FHM, Zoo and Arena editor Anthony Noguera is said to be on board for the launch. The new title's content will focus on technology, film and design.
Marketing Magazine reports that the magazine will be funded through advertisements, subscription fees and downloads.
The magazine has reportedly received significant backing, and will be aided at launch by a substantial marketing campaign.
In a statement to tech blog Mashable, a Virgin executive said: “More than eight million people will own iPads by the end of the year. It's the fastest-selling gadget ever and it's the most exciting thing to happen to the magazine market in a long time, but no one has yet got it right.”
