Apple has released an update to its iTunes software which fixes a number of bugs and should speed up back-up times.
The minor release, which is avavilable now through Software Update, has the usual improvements to performance and stability but should also see an end to interminably long back-up times when first syncing an iDevice with Apple's media player software.
The update also improves the way organising folders works on a host machine with better drag-and-drop functionality.
Owners of jailbroken devices should beware of the latest update as Apple invariably hobbles unauthorised back-door shenanigans with each point release.
iTunes 9.2.1 is available for Mac and Windows here.
