Apple has posted a bunch of videos which demonstrate that the iPhone 4 is not alone when it comes dropping carrier bars when gripped in a particular way.
The clips, which were part of Steve Jobs' press conference presentation from July 16th, are a virtual workshop on how to attenuate the signals getting to various smartphone handsets just by holding them in the wrong way.
RIM's Blackberry Bold 9700, HTC's Droid Eris, Nokia's N97 Mini, Samsung's Omnia II and even the iPhone 3Gs all get the death grip treatment, and all of them demonstrate exactly the same behaviour as Apple's much-maligned iPhone 4.
Apple recently offered a free 'bumper' case to anyone who has bought an iPhone 4, as well as a no-questions-asked refund to anyone who's still not happy.
Mobile provider AT&T has reported that only 1.7 per cent of iPhone 4 customers had returned their handsets, compared to an industry average of around six per cent.
