Almost three-quarters of AT&T's US iPhone customers say they are happy with the company's network and services, UK newspaper The Telegraph has reported.
According to a survey conducted by analysts at the Yankee Group, more than 73 per cent of iPhone owners in the US are happy with their network provider AT&T and its services.
“Consumers transfer the high gloss of their Apple iPhone experience to AT&T. The iPhone creates a halo effect that rubs off." says Carl Howe, an expert at Yankee Group.
The statistics have surprised many as AT&T has faced a lot of criticism from industry experts and some customers based in large cities, including San Francisco and New York, over poor network coverage and dropped calls on the iPhone.
Mark Seigel, spokesman for AT&T, said that the company has spent millions of dollars on strengthening its network and improving reliability for its users.
"There’s a gap between what people hear about us and what their experience is with us. We think that gap is beginning to close. It doesn’t mean we’re perfect; we still have work to do. But that’s no surprise to us, because we have a great network,” he said.
