Apple has unveiled a new LED Cinema Display screen for its Mac range of computers, tech news site Apple Insider reported on Wednesday.
The new 27-inch Cinema Display will be the only Apple monitor currently available in the market as the company halted the production of its previous 24-inch and 30-inch Cinema Display monitors. The 24-inch and 30-inch monitors will remain available in the market for as long as stocks last
“The LED cinema display has vivid colors, exceptionally high contrast and uses a premium display technology called in-plane switching (IPS) to provide brilliant image across an ultrawide 178 degree viewing angle,” said Apple.
The new monitor comes with a built-in iSight camera, speakers, microphone, a powered three-port USB-2.0 to charge iPod and iPhone devices, a universal MagSafe adapter, and a 2,560-by-1,440 pixel resolution.
Announced on Tuesday, the new Cinema Display monitor is completely in-line with environmental requirements as it sports a mercury-free LED technology glass that is free from arsenic and built with recyclable materials.
