Apple is advertising to hire a senior software engineer to help the company is developing new features for its operating systems, tech news site IT Wire has reported.
According to a job offer posted on Apple’s jobs web page, the Cupertino-based company is on the look out for suitable candidates to work with its software engineering team to develop new features for an upgraded version of its Mac OS X software.
“Are you looking to help create something totally new? Something that has never been done before and will truly amaze everyone? Are you excited by the prospect that what you helped create would be used every day by millions of Apple customers? Then come and work on with the Mac OS X software engineering team to help build a new and revolutionary feature for Mac OS X," the web page reads.
Apple’s previous Mac OS X 10.6 software was criticised by users and experts alike for not offering anything new. The company even described it as a refined operating system, not a reinvented one.
Apple is hiring for its Santa Clara Valley campus.
