News@10: Playstation Move UK Prices, Virgin Media Player & Microsoft Tablets

Sony has announced the UK price for its upcoming motion-sensing controller, PlayStation Move. Sony said that the Move motion controller will be available for £35, and that the PlayStation Eye camera and sub-controller will be priced at £25 each.

Virgin Media has announced plans to launch its own web-based video on-demand service called Virgin Media Player. The company says the service will first be made available to subscribers of its Virgin Media XL TV package with Virgin Media broadband connections from today.

Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo, has been made available for Samsung's Galaxy S smartphone by way of an unofficial ROM or firmware update. The Android 2.2 update for the Galaxy S is said to be stable, but still contains a few bugs.

The UK government has directed telecom regulator Ofcom to conduct the auction for the 2.6GHz and 800MHz broadband spectrum. The auction will allow phone companies to offer improved mobile broadband services to a wider range of customers.
