Apple has filed three patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office relating to three shopping and travel apps to be made available in its iTunes App Store, tech news site Unwired View reports.
According to the patents, the travel application will allow customers to book flight tickets to both international and domestic destinations. The application is also designed to allow passengers to check-in to flights and offer other airport and weather information, including being able to provide detailed information on the destination and the estimated landing time.
The Hotel application will come integrated with the internal system of the hotel, allowing customers to order services before they arrive at the hotel, check-in and out and call for room service.
The high-end fashion application will allow consumers to get invites to exclusive unveilings and fashion events. They would also be able to buy clothes from various stores, as well as check the stock of specific products.
