Sony's PlayStation 3 games console has outsold Microsoft's Xbox 360 by 28 per cent. Figures released by Sony show that the company sold 14.3 million PS3 consoles in the financial year ending on 30 June - more than the the 10.3 million Xbox 360 consoles sold by Microsoft during the same period.

Apple has confirmed that it will open a new London store in Covent Garden. The store, set to open on 7 August, is said to be one of the biggest Apple stores in the world and will be the company's 22nd store in the UK.
