Michael Reagan, the son of former US President Ronald Reagan, has launched what it calls the first conservative email service, in a bid to challenge competing online services.
Mr Reagan considers that the other online email providers such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo or Apple are way too liberal friendly and, as technological companies, tend to support "financially and with technology of those that are hurting" the US via their "liberal" agendas.
In line with true Reaganian values, the email service will cost you $34.95 per year or roughly £1.75 per month. In addition, if customers who buy the service today will get a free DVD of Ronald Reagan’s 1987 “tear down this wall speech". The price goes up to $39.95 as from tomorrow.
The obvious problem though is that it is highly unlikely that the service will ever become popular without the help of the companies that Mr Reagan seems to abhor. After all, without (Microsoft) Windows, ultra liberal Linux or the (Apple) Mac platforms, punters won't even be able to access it!
Not surprisingly, the service also highlights the fact that you will be using the services at your own risk, which means that your email may be hacked, penetrated and that customers using the website will be doing so without any support.
