Facebook has released simplified privacy control options for users who access the platform from their mobile browser.
The updated privacy settings bring the full desktop controls to all mobile browser versions of the site.
Facebook has said that it is currently rolling out the service across account holders, and that the process should be finished in the coming weeks.
The social networking giant said that mobile web users will be offered the standard default settings for privacy - namely recommended, everyone, friends of friends, or friends only - and will allow mobile users to even customise their privacy settings to determine how they share their information on the platform.
Writing on the company blog, Michael Eyal Sharon, Facebook's mobile product manager, wrote: "As of today, you can use these controls no matter where you are, what kind of device you have access to, or when you want to make a decision about your information."
“All of Facebook's privacy controls are now available from any browser-enabled mobile device to the more than 500 million people, like you, who are using Facebook in every country around the world.”
