News@5: Apple To Buy Handseeing, 4OD For PS3 & Google Street View

Apple is reportedly in talks to acquire Chinese internet games developer Handseeing Information Technology. Speaking to the state-run Xinhua news agency, Handseeing deputy general manager Tian Bo said that negotiations were still ongoing, and that the two sides had not yet reached agreement over the sale price.

Channel 4 is planning to brings its on-demand services to Sony's PlayStation 3 games console. The company is currently in talks with Sony to offer its 4OD on-demand video service on the platform. Channel 4 is also said to be planning to introduce a 4OD application to the iPad in the near future.

Apple has added the 'Try before you buy feature' to its App Store, giving users the opportunity to to try out a free or 'lite' version of an application before purchase. The feature has been launched to make up for the lack of a returns policy in the App Store.

Google's fleet of Street View cars are back on UK roads - only this time they don't have the equipment to 'accidentally' collect personal data from unprotected Wi-Fi networks.

Security researchers have found that the private browsing modes on most web browsers leak user data. Private browsing mode is designed to automatically delete all the logs of the websites that have been visited by the user in this mode.
