3 UK, the smallest mobile network operator in the UK, will get the Blackberry Torch after RIM's latest flagship handset was announced on Vodafone and Orange.
The phone, which was released last week, features a slide out QWERTY keyboard similar to that found on the Palm Pre. There's also a 624MHz processor, 4GB worth of internal memory, a 5-megapixel camera with AF and flash, WiFi, microSD card reader and WiFi.
Most importantly though it is the first to come with the Blackberry OS 6.0 (you can read our coverage of the Blackberry Torch here).
No details about the pricing or availability of Torch have filtered out yet. It is likely that others, including O2 which has just announced the arrival of three PAYG Blackberry handsets, will offer the Torch 9800 in a near future.
3 UK Currently have the Bold 9700 and the Pearl 9105 on monthly contracts starting from £36 per month for the former and £25 per month for the newly released Pearl.
We'd expect the operator to sell the 9800 for around £40 per month, which is £5 less than Apple 4 16GB on the One Plan.
