Adobe has released the final version of Adobe Flash 10.1 for Android 2.2-based smartphones.
Currently the software update to Flash 10.1 is only available for Nexus One, but other phone makers, such as Motorola and HTC, will have access to the Flash update soon.
Adobe has said that future Android devices will also come pre-loaded with the software.
The company explained that the final build will offer support for accelerometer, which will allow users to view Flash content in landscape and portrait mode.
Flash 10.1 will also come with an enhanced Smart Zooming feature, which would allow users to derive application like experience from web pages.
The company said: “Completely redesigned and optimized for mobile, Flash Player 10.1 delivers new interaction methods with support for mobile-specific input models. Performance optimization work with virtually all major mobile silicon and platform vendors makes efficient use of CPU and battery performance.”
Adobe also said that Flash will be available for BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 devices in the future.
