News@10: HP Tops Dell's Bid For 3Par, Viewsonic Tablet & Telecom Execs Against Net Neutrality

Archos is ready to showcase a series of five tablet devices at the IFA in Berlin next month. The French electronics manufacturer will display the Archos 7 and Archos 8 Home Tablets, the Archos 9 PC Tablet with Windows 7, and the Archos 32 internet tablet, at the IFA.

Viewsonic is expected to showcase an Android-based tablet computer at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin, Germany. The California-based company is getting ready to display two of its new tablet devices at the IFA, world largest exhibition of consumer electronics set to take place between 3-8 September in Berlin.

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days has knocked Toy Story 3 from the top of the game charts for all platforms in its first week. The UK all-format gaming chart, by the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA), shows that Square Enix's Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days has replaced Toy Story 3 at the top of the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC game charts.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has bid to acquire data-storage hardware developer 3Par. The move is an attempt to outbid rival Dell for the hardware company. HP has increased its bid to $1.6 billion, in a counter bid to leave behind rival Dell, which offered 3Par $1.15 billion last week.

A survey has shown that majority of telecom executives disagree with the concept of net neutrality. In a survey of international mobile executives, around 55 per cent of the total mobile executives surveyed want to break away from fixed line and mobile net neutrality, indicating that the mobile industry is willing to charge content providers for giving priority to them.
