WikiLeaks has published a leaked CIA document, highlighting America as a possible exporter of global terrorism.
The whistle-blowing website has published the three-page CIA report, asking what would happen if other countries suspected the US of exporting terrorism, the Telegraph has reported.
According to the report, USA is perceived as an “Exporter of Terrorism” by its allies, which may lead to non-cooperation from the countries over detention, questioning and interrogation of terror suspects in the future.
The paper reads: “Primarily we have been concerned about al Qaeda infiltrating operatives into the United States to conduct terrorist attacks, but AQ may be increasingly looking for Americans to operate overseas."
In response, a spokesperson for CIA has denied any such possibilities, stating that the paper has been written simply to instigate thoughts and different views.
The paper, "What If Foreigners See the United States as an 'Exporter of Terrorism?", was compiled by the CIA's Red Cell, the unit responsible for preparing documents that analyse the US from an adversarial perspective.
