Anyone who downloaded yesterday's iOS4.1 update from Apple expecting to jump straight into multi-player games will have been sorely disappointed.
Apple's new social gaming service was included in the update but, unfortunately, there were no compatible games available on launch day.
Until this morning, tapping 'Find Game Center Games' did nothing more than open the landing page for the Game Center area on Apple's web site.
All of that has changed in the last few hours.
There are now at least 18 GC-compliant titles, including three from Apple gaming stalwart Pangea software as well as Farmville, Ms Pacman, Flight Control and Enigmo 2.
All of the titles on offer (apart from the annoyingly addictive Farmville) are paid-for Apps ranging from 59p to £2.99. Existing owners will need to update the relevant Apps and resync using iTunes.
Game Center now has its own featured section on the iTunes App store and you can expect to see the number of compatible titles growing over the coming days and weeks.
