Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced upgrades for a number of its products catering to small and medium enterprises (SME).
Among the announcements include an upgrade for its 10Gbit per second Ethernet ports, part of HP's P2000 modular storage array. The P2000 10Gbit per second Ethernet integrated array has been priced at $11,700.
"We're really trying to deliver for the customers who are constrained by the financial situation. They're looking to grow and bring in products that have a long-term value but not a lot of upfront costs," said Lee Johns, director of marketing for next generation storage at HP.
Another upgrade was the P4000 Virtual storage area network (SAN), which has been integrated with HyperV capability from Microsoft, also available at the same price of $11,700.
HP has also released two upgraded versions of its storage management technology, HP Data Protector Express 5.0 and HP Insight Control. The price for both starts at $700 for one license.
