HTC has released a software update for its Android-based HTC Desire smartphone.
According to tech news site Softpedia, the software update has brought many minor changes and developments to the handset, including a patch for its existing Android OS, greater support for multi-inbox for Gmail, and an enhanced Russian keyboard layout.
“After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Software number (From Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software Information> Software number). The new Software number will be 2.10.405.2,” HTC announced on its support website.
The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has advised users to make back ups of their stored files in order to avoid losing data when the phone updated.
UK-based retail giant Carphone Warehouse will soon offer the white version of the HTC Desire, and the HTC Desire HD is expected to be released at an upcoming press event scheduled for next week.
