Nokia has unveiled the C6 and C7 smartphones at Nokia World 2010, models that look set to complement the Nokia Xpressmusic range.
The C7 (or C7-00) includes what Nokia calls a ClearBlack Display that produces "blacker than black" background with more vibrant colours (and power efficient) and sports a 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, free walk and drive GPS navigation and what looks to be a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 640x360 pixels resolution (same as the N8).
Other specs include support for WebTV and composite video out. The C7 has 8GB storage onboard that can be expanded using a microSD card slot. Overall, it looks a lot like an E71 without a keyboard and with a bigger screen.
As for the C6, it has the same specs as the C7 except for the smaller screen (3.2-inch ClearBlacks screen), a smaller 1050mAh battery, no TV out and an additional 2GB storage thanks to the bundled microSD.
Both models will be released over the next few months and are powered by Symbian^3. Note that it is the C6-01, not the C6 that has been announced by Nokia. The latter comes with a 5-megapixel camera and a full QWERTY keyboard.
