Nokia has announced the availability of its new tools for developers around the world.
According to tech news site Softpedia, the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer has released an enhanced version of its Nokia Qt Software Development Kit (SDK) 1.0.1 for developers to enable them to develop applications more easily and profitably.
“Using the Nokia Qt SDK to build their apps, developers will discover a complete, easy-to-use tool that brings a shortened workflow, simplified development and intuitive UI libraries resulting in 70 percent fewer lines of code, cutting creation time dramatically,” Nokia announced.
The SDK platform allows developers to build applications, keeping in mind the upcoming Nokia's MeeGo operating systems for smartphones.
The tool kit can be used on systems running Microsoft's Windows XP SP 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux 7.04 and newer along with Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 or newer.
The SDK developers tool kit is available at forum.nokia.com, Purnima Kochikar, vice president at Forum Nokia said.
