Enterprise software maker Novell has released its Cloud Manager tool, designed to allow clients to create and manage a cloud computing environment on their existing data centre.
Unlike any other cloud management tool, the Novell Cloud Manager allows users to create and management private cloud environment across leading hypervisors, operating systems and hardware platforms, rather than restricting to one in particular.
“We've optimized Novell Cloud Manager for the heterogeneous reality of most IT environments, delivering on the promised flexibility and agility of cloud computing and providing the rich management capabilities IT administrators need,” Jim Ebzery, a senior vice president at Novell said in a statement.
The Novell Cloud Manager will come with support for all the leading hypervisors available in the market including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and open source Xen.
It will also support several enterprise operating systems including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
