T-Mobile has released the Android 2.2 OS update for its HTC Desire customers.
The Android 2.2 Froyo update is said to significantly enhance the performance and speed of the HTC Desire smartphone, as well as bring it exciting new features including High Definition video recording.
The Froyo update will also allow users to turn their smartphone into a Wi-Fi hotspot and will offer better support for HTML5.
In order to install the update, users will simply have to go to 'Settings' option and access 'About Phone'. From there, select the 'System Software Updates' option and click on 'Check Now', which will then give details on the new update.
The new software update is 90.93MB, and so users are advised to perform the update using the Wi-Fi connection and not the 3G network.
The update brings the long awaited Android 2.2 OS to T-Mobile Desire users, who were beginning to worry if they will ever get a software update.
HTC had released an Android 2.2 update for the unlocked HTC Desire quite some time ago.
