Hewlett-Packard (HP) has developed a new private cloud platform to help deploy Oracle applications more quickly.
According to CRN, on Monday HP unveiled a new private cloud hardware infrastructure designed to minimise the time and effort spent in uploading recently launched applications via software developed by Oracle.
HP has said that the Oracle apps, including PeopleSoft Enterprise, Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle Fusion Middleware, will be deployed on HP’s Matrix converged cloud solutions within a few hours.
“For channel partners this is a great offering because we are taking a complex thing and simplifying it to a bundle. Both the channel and their customers are looking for simplified, faster deployment of technologies," announced Kevin Lyons, marketing director at HP for the enterprise servers, storage and networking solutions alliance.
The infrastructure was unveiled at Oracle’s Open World Conference in San Francisco, indicating that despite legal hassles related to HP’s former CEO Mark Hurd, both companies plan to continue evolving their decade long relationship.
