Apple has released software updates aimed at adding support for its new 27-inch LED Cinema Display screen on computer systems compatible.
The LED Cinema Display Software Update 1.0 can be downloaded from Apple's support page, which states that the 75.79 MB download will work only on Mac OS X 10.6.4 and beyond.
According to Apple Insider, the software update will add a new option to the System Preferences, which allow users to manage the ambient light sensors that come with the new display.
The ambient light sensors are designed to adjust the brightness of the screen depending on the lighting conditions.
Another new option that get added to System Preferences is that users can those the speakers on the LED Cinema Display as default audio output. The option will also let users adjust the left and right audio balance on the 49-watt powered speakers.
The company has also released the software update for 32-bit and 64-bit version Windows, adding support for Apple Magic Trackpad and 27-inch LED Cinema Display.
