Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has surpassed Apple CEO Steve Jobs in the table of the 400 richest businessmen in the United States.
In a new list released by Forbes magazine, Facebook’s CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg has managed to overtake Apple CEO Steve Jobs, to become the 35th richest businessman in the country, UK newspaper the Daily Mail reports.
The 26 year old entrepreneur and a Harvard alumnus Zuckerberg is said to have an estimated personal fortune of $6.9 billion, beating Jobs, who is ranked at 42 with personal wealth of $6.1 billion.
According to the annual list, the young businessman has left behind heavy weights of the industry, including News Corp.’s Rupert Murdoch who has been valued at $6.2 billion.
Zuckerberg is also one of the eight businessmen listed that are under 40 years of age.
Microsoft’s former CEO and founder Bill Gates is still the richest, for the 17th year in a row, with a personal fortune of $54 billion.
