Apple's new and improved Apple TV device might get shipped to customers some time in mid-October, according to a notification on Apple's product page.
Apple's video and music streaming box, which was supposed to ship in September, might end by getting shipped late in October; the cause of the delay is not certain.
According to the Apple TV product page, the tentative time for shipping has been given as '2-3 weeks' which translates into mid-October.
Meanwhile, AppleInsider reports that consumers who had paid for early shipping for the device have received an email, informing them that the early shipping fee they paid has been refunded, as the device will not be shipped to them early owing to a delay.
The email read that “Our records indicate that when you placed your order you paid for upgraded shipping. Due to a delay, we may have not been able to meet our delivery commitment.”
The new Apple TV, available in the US for $99, will allow users to stream videos and music from their computers to TVs and let them watch videos on YouTube and rent movies and TV shows.
