The Nokia N8 will be released in around one month time, towards the third week of October according to a preorder page that popped up on a Carphonewarehouse-owned website.
Mobiles.co.uk is taking preorders for the Nokia flagship handset with O2 and Vodafone being the first to offer it; tariffs will be ranging from £10 a month to £55 a month with the phone being available for free for as little as £25 per month (TCO of £600) from Vodafone.
O2 has yet to publish prices for the N8 and we expect them to be competitive with Vodafone. T-Mobile, Orange and others have yet to release pricing and availability details.
The phone comes with 12-megapixel camera complete with a Carl Zeiss lens, Xenon flash and the capability of recording in HD. The fact that it has a HDMI port means that you will be able to view the content on your HD ready screen.
There's also a nice 3.5-inch touchscreen display (360x640 pixels) with 16GB onboard memory and up to 32GB additional storage thanks to a microSD card.
As expected, it will be the first Symbian^3 handset and will come complete with Facebook and Twitter apps as well as access to OVI services.
