The Nokia N8 has just been shipped and already there seems to be an ongoing price war between the two mobile network operators that are carrying the phone.
Vodafone and Orange have both started to offer a £25 monthly package for the N8 with Orange having the upper hand for now with the Dolphin 25 on a two year contract.
Unlike Vodafone's offer which only comprises of 100 minutes, the Orange one is actually pretty decent. It comes with 300 minutes, 3000 texts, unlimited calls to Magic Numbers, anytime mobile internet browsing (500MB) and unlimited email.
Switch to the Panther 35 tariff for £27.50 per month and you get double the number of minutes, free Orange SatNav and 50 photo messages on top.
But the best N8 package on the market has to be Orange's Dolphin 35; it only lasts 18 months and comes with 500 minutes, 3000 texts, 500MB internet data and free email.
At £27.50 per month, it is hardly an expensive deal especially when the total cost of ownership - £495 for the 18 month period - is just £66 more than the suggested retail price.
