IBM has unveiled an upgraded version of its LotusLive enterprise tool.
The tool will now come with a revamped LotusLive Notes tool and a new collaboration tool, named Communities.
The LotusLive Notes tool is spin-off from Lotus Notes, which allows users to send e-mails and instant messages, maintain their calender and contacts, for a subscription fee of $3 per month.
The Lotus Notes integrated with LotusLive will be available as a web-based service or a software client for a subscription fee of $5 er month, and will offer 25 GB of storage space for every account.
According to IBM, the support for Notes has not been added yet, but users can integrate the service using LotusLive capabilities and IBM's Tivoli Directory Integrator.
Sean Poulley, vice president, online collaboration service, IBM, said: “Most of what you can do in administrating mail, calendaring and scheduling in an on-premise environment, you can also administer LotusLive from the same Domino console.”
