Microsoft has announced plans to release the Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool in the second quarter of 2011.
Targeted at mid-sized project-oriented organisations, the software tool is designed to enhance operational productivity and business value by offering improved features and functions.
The ERP tool will be first available in English for the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, while the Spanish version for Latin-America will be launched at a later stage.
"Many of the new features in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011, such as the fantastic user interface, integrated login and multicompany switching, make navigating fast and easy," said Scott Kopald, controller at Metson Marine Services in a statement.
"With this release, Microsoft has shown that it understands our needs and is committed to supporting the solution for the long term," he added.
The new Dynamics iteration will allow users to enhance their IT capabilities by offering support for Microsoft Project Server 2010, Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM through Web Services.
