Oracle is gearing up to release a patch for a whopping 81 vulnerabilities on Tuesday.
Software giant Microsoft will also release a record 16 security bulletins that cover 49 vulnerabilities under its Patch Tuesday update roll out.
According to an advisory released by Oracle, 31 out of the 81 vulnerabilities are in the Oracle Sun Products Suite, while 16 vulnerabilities are capable of allow remote code execution on an infected machine without the need of username or password.
The Oracle Database Server is getting 7 new security fixes, one of them capable of remote code execution. Oracle Fusion Middleware, on the other hand, will also get 8 security fixes while Oracle applications will get 33 security fixes.
The company said in the advisory: “Some of the vulnerabilities addressed in this Critical Patch Update affect multiple products. Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply Critical Patch Update fixes as soon as possible.”
