Mac users to get Windows Phone 7 sync app

Microsoft has conceded that there may be some Apple fans willing to relinquish their precious iPhones by announcing that it will release a sync tool for the OSX platform.

In what is quite possibly the briefest official statement ever made, Microsoft said, "Later in 2010 Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers."

We're not quite sure what 'select content' entails, or how many notoriously anti-Microsoft Macolytes will be willing to sully their hands by using a handset from the Dark Side, but we'll be interested to see the numbers once the software is out in the wild.

After all, if Apple evangelist Stephen Fry can be convinced to say nice things about a Microsoft-powered phone, anything can happen.
