UK mobile services provider Three has announced that it will be soon releasing the Android 2.2 Froyo software update for the HTC Desire.
In a Tweet sent out by the official Three UK page, the company said: “HTC Desire owners, Android 2.2 Froyo update - HTC have said the update v2.25.771.1 will be live at 16:00 14 October (TW time).”
Three has taken a long time to release the Froyo update for the Desire, much to the frustration of its users - back in August the company had said that the update will be made available in only a couple of weeks.
It took Three more than a month to come up with the update and now the only thing left to see is that whether it meets the same fate as the Froyo update released by O2, which turned out to be buggy.
The update will bring the full set of Android 2.2 features to HTC Desire users on Three, including an updated HTC Sense UI, high definition video recording, HTC's App Share widget and multi-language support for the keyboard.
