T-Mobile Pushes Samsung Galaxy S Froyo Update To November

Those wishing to use the Samsung Galaxy S on T-Mobile will be disappointed to learn that the mobile phone operator has confirmed that it has postponed the update to the end of November.

Irate customers have been complaining about the delay on T-Mobile's discussion forum with one of the moderators, Stefan (opens in new tab), saying the company, which is now part of Everything Everywhere, is making "some changes to get it working better when using Orange signal".

He then added that the update will be released towards the end of November and that they hope that it will be worth it.

One forum user was quick to point out that the Froyo update announced by Samsung is a generic one for non-carrier branded handsets.

Why T-mobile has decided to delay the OTA firmware update by almost six weeks remains a mystery given that in theory, Froyo should perform identically on all Galaxy S regardless of the carrier.
