EA's controversial Medal of Honor game has received the top spot at the UKIE GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40 list for the UK.
The latest version of EA's Medal of Honor was criticised by US government officials for being insensitive to the US soldiers in Afghanistan by allowing gamers to play the role of Taliban soldiers attacking US troops.
The makers were forced to change the name of the Taliban fighters in the multiplayer section of the game to the 'Opposing Force', fearing a retail catastrophe.
Medal of Honor was followed by EA's FIFA 11 and Ubisoft's Just Dance 2, which debuts at the third spot. Nintendo's Wii Party moved up the list, rising to fourth from tenth, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 got the fifth position.
F1 2010 and Dead Rising 2 came in a sixth and seventh respectively, just ahead of Microsoft's popular Halo: Reach, which fell to eighth place in the chart.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 has come in new at ninth, with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow rounding off the top ten.
