Microsoft Kinect Gets 19 Games For European Launch

Microsoft has announced a whopping 19 games as part of the drive to provide its forthcoming Kinect motion controller with enough games to warrant its purchase.

Some of the games are expected to be launched on the 10th of November, the day the first preordered Kinect peripherals reach their buyers with the rest coming on the 26th of November.

Chris Lewis, vice president of IEB, Microsoft EMEA, said in a statement that "The line-up of games we are launching along with Kinect delivers an astonishing range of experiences and entertainment which can be enjoyed by everyone".

However, given the fact that there's eight dance/fitness titles in the lineup, one has to wonder whether the novelty of the gadget is not going to wear off quickly.

The Xbox 360 Console with Kinect Sensor and Kinect Adventures is currently listed at number 21 in Amazon's top hot future releases chart with a suggested retail price of £299.99.

UK retailer GAME has already announced that it has sold out on its initial batch of the Microsoft Kinect but has vowed to continue taking preorders with the Kinect delivered on a first come first served basis.

Note that the game lineup in the UK doesn't correspond exactly to the one in the US.
