World's First Augmented Reality CV Features Symbian Creator

A crack team of designers, animators, video editors and developers came together to create the world's first augmented reality CV for David Wood, the co-founder of Symbian, possibly the most popular operating system globally.

According to CWJobs, which came up with the initiative, the overwhelming majority of IT jobseekers said that they would consider alternatives to the traditional "written" CV if it allows them to stand out especially as the jobseeker market has become more competitive.

Wood's CV, which can be viewed below, brings together various aspects of his illustrious career from his time at Cambridge to the launch of Psion handheld computers and his role as one of the thinking mind behind Symbian.

CWJobs is also giving the opportunity to two IT jobseekers to get their own augmented reality CVs, masterly produced by a crack team of designers, animators, video editors and developers. In addition, they will receive £500 worth of Amazon vouchers and their AR CV will be distributed to more than 2500 IT Recruiters. More about that here.

The specialist IT recruitment website has not said whether they will launch an AR CV service in a near future although Richard Nott, the website director at CWJobs hinted that augmented reality "is just one of many developments in CV creation we expect to see in the recruitment sector over the coming years."
