Bethesda's Fallout: New Vegas has entered at the number one spot in the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart, new data be GfK Chart Track has found.
According to Video Gamer, the newly launched game has managed to outsell its predecessor Fallout 3, with its first week's sales topping its predecessors' by 29 per cent.
Meanwhile, EA's newly launched and highly controversial video game Medal of Honor (MoH) has fallen to number 2 position after a 48 per cent dip in sales.
Another EA title, FIFA 11 also slipped to the number 3 position, while 'Professor Layton and the Lost Future' has debuted at fourth. Just Dance 2, on the other hand, has moved to the fifth position in the gaming chart.
Given the explosive launch of EA's Medal of Honor video game, a 48 per cent dive in the sales seems to indicate that things don't look so good at the EA camp.
The number 2 spot being enjoyed by MoH is expected to be short-lived as Friday will see the launch of some highly competitive and popular gaming titles, including Fable III, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and Rock Band 3.
