A diagram of the Dell Venue has appeared on the FC website which means that the device is likely to be shipped within a few weeks.
Engadget writes that the phone, which was formerly known as Thunder, looks exactly as the Venue Pro, except that it swaps Windows Phone 7 for Android OS and doesn't come with a slide out QWERTY keyboard it seems.
One can therefore expect it to cost slightly less than the Dell Venue Pro, possibly around £400. Like its Windows 7 Counterpart, the Dell Venue will have a 4.1-inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, an 8-megapixel camera and not much more.
It will be interesting to find out how Dell positions the Venue at launch given that it may end up costing not much less than the 5-inch tablet-like Dell Streak smartphone.
We have yet to receive confirmation that this device will be available outside the US for now but we'll let you know as soon as our usual sources stock it.
