The query: "Why won't my parakeet eat my diarrhea?" has shot to the top of Google's search suggestions.
When users start typing the words "Why will not....", a list of proposed search queries appears, one of which is: "Why wont my parakeet eat my diarrhea?"
Google search suggestions feature is designed to give users a list of most popular, related search queries before they finish typing in an attempt to speed up the search process.
Strange as it sounds, the only reason why the suggestion appeared is because someone actually asked the question before.
The question has since become viral, aided by articles such as this, and presumably by word of mouth before it appeared as one of the top most searched suggestions on Google.
The same question was also asked on Yahoo Answers over one year ago, and, bewilderingly, has received a long, detailed reply.
"If you are trying to feed this to your parakeet, make sure that the diarrhea is, in fact, diarrhea, and not solidified waste. The problem in most cases is the owner trying to feed the bird solid stool, which they will not take," the reply suggests.
