Since the release of the Gold Master (GM) version of the iOS 4.2 update, Apple users have been eagerly waiting for the public launch of the software, which will bring common features to all three flagship Apple devices - iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
According to 9To5 Mac, to separate release dates have been churned out by the rumour mill.
Inside-Handy.de is claiming that Deutsche Telekom executives have cited 9 November as the launch date for the software update.
Also, another German blog iFun is citing a website link that suggests that Apple may be pushing the carrier update on 12 November, and so, according to the blog, the public version will be released on that date as well.
Apple's iPad device will benefit the most from the update, which will bring multi-tasking, GameCenter, folders, AirPlay and AirPrint features to the device.
