Google Nexus S Smartphone Leaked By Best Buy?

The second iteration of the Google Nexus smartphone may have been leaked by online retailer Best Buy complete with details of who might be the first network to get it.

Phandroid wrote that the US version of the Best Buy website contained a link referring to a "Pure Google" smartphone which would be exclusively available at Best Buy this holiday season.

The page has since been taken down but it did indicate that the phone would be available on T-Mobile. The Nexus S, otherwise known as the Nexus Two, may well come to the UK through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy as indicated last month by City A.M.

The device is rumoured to be manufactured by Samung and to come with a 4-inch AMOLED screen, a curved back and would basically be using the widly popular Galaxy S as its blueprint.

Furthermore, it is almost a certainty that the handset will run Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) without Samsung's TouchWiz user interface.

Many expected the Nexus S to be revealed during an event organised by Samsung that took place on Monday; but disappointingly, it was to mark the launch of the Samsung Continuum.

With the holiday seasons starting in only two weeks, one can expect the Nexus S to be launched very soon indeed with a simultaneous event in US and in Europe being a distinct possibility.
