Cut The Rope Hits Three Million Downloads

Chillingo has announced that its Cut the Rope mobile game has been downloaded more than 3 million times since its launch.

Chillingo, which is also behind the hugely popular Angry Birds game, has designed Cut the Rope to make the most of the laws of physics to avoid obstacles and feed candy to the monster Om-Nom at the bottom of the screen.

The company also said that a new update to the game is on its way.

The new version 1.1 update will be space-themed, bringing 25 new levels to the game. Om-Nom will be subjected to the laws of anti-gravity which will make the game environment turn upside down.

The update will also bring enhancement to the graphics, improved scoring, music, new animation for Om-Nom and 11 additional achievements.

Efim Voinov of ZeptoLab, the company which designed the game, commented: “The 1.1 update is just the beginning; we hope to release an additional update just in time for the holidays and bring even more action-packed, Om Nom excitement to your fingertips!”
