The next version of Apple's mobile platform, iOS 4.3, may be set for an early launch in December as Apple plans to introduce a new digital newspaper, The Daily, produced exclusively for the iPad by News Corp.
A source close to the matter apparently told MacStories (opens in new tab) that a launch in Mid-December can be expected with the News Corp newspaper launched during an Apple event on the 9th of December.
The update will apparently also bring in in-app subscriptions, another potential cash cow for Apple, which will allow users to buy subscriptions or virtual goods without having to leave the application.
iOS 4.3 will also fix bugs - like the disappearing music library one - that have appeared in the current iOS 4.2 and iOS 4.2.1 We expect it to be the last major iOS to be released before the iPad 2 appears next year.
