The PSP phone might actually land in France first on the 9th of December if an invite published online by French website nowhereelse is to be believed.
The invite says that the MD of Sony Ericsson France, Pierre Peron, and his team are inviting selected journalists to the most awaited-for presentation of the last ten years.
The event will take place on Thursday the 9th of December as from 2000 (France Time). The fact that the four Sony Playstation buttons (square, cross, circle and triangle) are joined by the telephone (a bit like Take That with Robbie) leaves the promise of a product that many had expected to see for a long time.
The phone is expected to be a cross between the Xperia brand and the Sony PSP. It is expected to run on Gingerbread (Android OS 2.3) and should be announced (or at least launched officially) at CES 2011 in Las Vegas next year.
There are also rumours that Sony would debut a customised Android Marketplace that will have a significant catalogue of PSP-derived games available for download.
